Description
The 16th century Church of Santa Maria in Via (today Madonna della Cona) features a beautiful stone portal and a belfry, also of the same century.
At one time it preserved a fragment of a highly venerated polyptych, which represents the Virgin holding the nursing Child sitting on a cushion, as she covers him with a sheet. The sacristy contains a 17th century canvas entitled the Trinity.
The Church, in the hamlet of Montaglioni, once held a magnificent wood altar consisting of a patchwork of icons, which is now preserved in Preci.
